CinemaCC for Even G2

How to Watch Movies with Subtitles on Even G2

CinemaCC lets you prepare a subtitle track on your phone, load it into the Even G2 companion and keep the words in step with the film. The phone owns the timeline; the glasses show the active cue.

Say it. I’m listening.

The short answer

Prepare the subtitles in CinemaCC, open Settings → Smart Glasses → Even G2, then load the exported package in the CinemaCC Even G2 companion on your paired phone. Start when the film begins and use BACKWARD or FORWARD whenever the words drift away from the picture.

Set it up in three steps

  1. Find subtitles in the CinemaCC phone app, or import your own SRT file.
  2. Open Settings, choose Smart Glasses, then choose Even G2 and export the subtitle package.
  3. Open CinemaCC in the Even app on your phone and tap LOAD on the left side of the control wheel.

Find them in CinemaCC or bring your own SRT

Use CinemaCC’s subtitle search to choose the film, language and matching release. If you already have an SRT file, import it instead. One reading-language track is enough; an optional dialogue track can add a second line.

Step 2: connect CinemaCC to Even G2

Settings → Smart Glasses → Even G2

From the CinemaCC home screen, tap the settings icon, open Smart Glasses, then choose Even G2. Export the current or most recent prepared screening for the glasses companion.

Step 3: load the subtitles in the Even app

Tap LOAD on the control wheel

Open the CinemaCC companion inside the Even app on your paired phone. Tap LOAD on the left side of the round controller and choose the CinemaCC package you just exported. The separate SRT files area is for importing individual SRT tracks directly.

Play, pause and correct the timing

At the film’s first frame, tap the centre play button on the phone or press the G2. If subtitles appear before the matching picture, use BACKWARD or swipe up on G2. If they appear after it, use FORWARD or swipe down.

What this setup does — and does not do

It does

  • Display subtitles you prepared before the movie.
  • Let the phone and G2 control playback together.
  • Let you correct subtitle timing manually.
  • Keep subtitle files and the paused checkpoint on the paired phone.

It does not

  • Listen to the film through a microphone.
  • Translate the movie live.
  • Transcribe dialogue automatically.
  • Download subtitles from inside the Even G2 companion.

Test it before the lights go down

  • Install the CinemaCC companion from Even Hub and confirm that G2 shows a cue.
  • Load the subtitle file before entering the screening room.
  • Check the first spoken line and the subtitle position in your field of view.
  • Learn the press and swipe controls before the film starts.
  • Keep the phone charged and follow the cinema’s device policy.
